  • Florian Estendorfer is a Technology and Transformation Leader with 28 years of experience in telecommunications IT and more than 20 years in people leadership. He currently serves as Group Lead Product Catalogue and Software Engineering at Telefónica Germany, where he leads a team of more than 15 employees and collaborates with over 100 international technology experts and strategic partners.

    His responsibilities include the development, modernization and reliable operation of enterprise Product Catalogue platforms supporting approximately 20 million customers, as well as the management of a technology portfolio of around €4 million annually. Throughout his career, Florian has contributed to major business and IT transformation programmes, including the migration of more than 18 million prepaid and over six million postpaid customers and the transition towards scalable cloud-native platforms, microservices, DevOps and automated software delivery.

    As a Leadership Team Member of Telefónica Germany’s SDLC AI Transformation Programme “JARVIS”, he drives the adoption of AI-enabled software engineering to increase productivity, improve software quality and automation, and enhance the developer experience.

    Florian is also the founder and lead of the Technology Innovation Days, an internal innovation platform connecting employees, technology partners, start-ups and industry experts. The initiative has grown to 60 events, 150 expert sessions, >200 speakers and contributions from >50  technology companies, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, automation, digital platforms and emerging technology trends.

    His leadership approach is based on integrity, collaboration, empowerment and leading by example. He is passionate about connecting people, technology and business to create sustainable value, accelerate transformation and enable continuous learning.

    Florian holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Munich and completed his diploma thesis on Intelligent Building Systems at the University of Sussex in Brighton.
