The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of Spain organizes the III Connected Industry Congress 4.0 for the third consecutive year to expose the great challenges of the digital transformation of the industry, the evolution of the technology and successful experiences in different sectors.

This edition extends the international scope with the presence of South Korea as guest country, and the participation of Wonki Min, Vice-Minister of Science and ICT of Korea. Reyes Maroto, Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, will accompany him at the opening session.
In the space devoted to "CEOs at the digital transformation", representatives of different companies committed to technological change in the industry, such as Telefónica, will debate about the present and the future of the digital production. Emilio Gayo, CEO of Telefónica Spain will share his vision with representatives of other collaborating entities: Acenture, AENOR, Cerealto Siro, Hyundai, Samsung and Siemens, together with Raúl Blanco, Secretary General for Industry and SMEs.
In addition, the event will host eight thematic spaces, including the Telefónica room on "Internet of Things: monitoring and asset management as the new engine of the industry". It will analyze the role of the IoT (Internet of Things) in the framework of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and how this technology is going to change our way of producing. It will be moderated by Agustín Cárdenas, Director of Business Transformation and Companies at Telefónica España.
As a novelty, the First Edition of the National Connected Industry 4.0. Awards will be presented to recognize the outstanding efforts and achievements of Spanish industrial companies in the field of digitalization.
