Gonzalo Conde

Head of Public Policy

    • Head of Public Policy at Telefónica, where he helps facilitate dialogue with European institutions and international organizations, define the company’s position, and analyze the political and regulatory environment.

      He has more than 15 years of international experience in innovation, strategy, and public affairs, spanning consulting, large corporations, startups, and civil society organizations. Throughout his career, he has led and launched various entrepreneurial initiatives and social projects in different countries, including key stints in Silicon Valley, where he led the development of technology products, and in strategic consulting at firms such as Accenture.

      At the same time, in the field of public affairs, he serves as president of the think tank Democracia Digital and as a member of the Board of Directors of Club Siglo XXI, organizations through which he promotes dialogue among representatives from the political, business, academic, and social spheres. He was also a co-founder of the public affairs consulting firm Demos Lab, which specializes in advocacy projects with social impact through citizen participation.

      His association with the Telefónica Group dates back to 2020, when Wayra, the company’s open innovation initiative, incorporated several of the projects he was leading into its acceleration programs, marking the beginning of a collaboration that culminated in his joining Telefónica’s Brussels office and, subsequently, its global Public Policy division.

      He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from CUNEF, with a study abroad program at Henley Business School in Reading, and a Master’s degree in International Business from Hult International Business School in San Francisco Shanghai and Dubai. He has rounded out his education with studies in law, political science, and digital product leadership at institutions such as UNED, Yale, Stanford, and Bocconi.
