Alma María Ortuño

I work in innovation at Telefónica and, if there’s one thing that defines me, it’s that I love starting new things: discovering a new technology, understanding what we can do with it, and helping an initial idea take shape until it becomes a real project.

I’m passionate about innovation and sharing knowledge. I enjoy talking about what we’re doing, making it easy to understand, and getting other people interested, excited, and eager to get involved.

I especially enjoy bringing different people together around an idea and building teams where we can learn, experiment, and innovate together. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a wide range of technologies, from Big Data and artificial intelligence to quantum computing and communications, but the common thread has always been the same: learning, sharing, connecting people, and building new things.
