Eduardo Gallego

Telecommunications Engineer at Telefónica España

My name is Eduardo Gallego and I have been working at Telefónica since 1999, always in the wholesale area, specifically in the development of services for operators.  Before that, I was in a company that managed a communications network connecting European railways.

There is also life outside Telefónica: I am president of the Association of Friends of the Madrid Metro and, together with 6 other members, we have written a couple of books on the history of our metro, the most recent of which is entitled “100 años de metro en Madrid. From Cuatro Caminos to the centenary”.

Finally, I would like to stress about myself that I am always willing to learn, so I consider any investment in training to be less costly than the alternative. As Derek Bok, President of Harvard for more than 20 years, said, “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance”.
