Section 172 Companies Act 2006 statement

UK companies are required to include a section 172(1) statement in their strategic reports for financial years beginning on or after 1 January 2019, in accordance with section 414CZA of the Companies Act 2006, where they meet certain qualifying conditions. This statement must also be published on a website until the section 172(1) statement for the next financial year is published.

This statement must describe how the directors have had regard to the matters set out in section 172(1)(a) to (f) of the Companies Act 2006 when performing their duty under section 172 (the duty of each director to promote the success of the company).
