How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

I have been with the company for eleven years this year. I started my career in the Corporate Communication and Institutional Marketing department, where I am still working, in charge of digital communication and social media (managing the department’s audiovisual material, managing the blog, SEO positioning), and then I specialised in social networks.

In addition, I have worked for a year and a half in the executive coordination of content, and I have managed different social networks for more than 8 years. Currently, I am managing content for Telefonica’s blog.

These years have been very intense, in which I have learned a lot, met many people and lived many experiences.

Is there any project at Telefónica that you are particularly satisfied with or proud of?

Yes, I am especially satisfied with the plan to open and create the corporate social networks on Facebook and Instagram. It was a very complicated and beautiful project that allowed me to create the accounts from scratch and feed them with content for several years afterwards.

I was also very proud to unify all of Telefónica’s Facebook accounts around the world into a single one, with almost one million followers.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?

Telefónica has made it possible to promote the progress of society through technology and digitalisation, but above all it has managed, for 100 years now, to keep people connected.

In the past it was unthinkable that we could communicate with video calls or instant messaging, and here we are now, with a whole world of possibilities ahead of us thanks to technology.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

I see it leading the telecommunications market, and being a world leader in technology and digitalisation.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

To be honest, I think I would find it very difficult. I love social networks, and above all knowing that I can communicate with my friends and family at any time. I also love movies and series, and most of what I watch, I do it from my mobile device.

Help us solve one of the great enigmas of humanity: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

I like it better with onion, but if my father makes it, it’s up to him, because he cooks great and everything turns out great.

What crazy idea would you like Telefónica to come up with for its centenary?

I would like to have an omelette competition for this section of the blog.

Nominate other colleagues to appear in this section.

I nominate Valentín Suárez, Alejandra de Zunzunegui, Laura Encinas, Paula Baylac, Paz Noriega and Saúl Rueda.

In #Thespanishomelettething tag section we interview Telefónica’s employees on a variety of topics, while trying to solve one of humanity’s greatest dilemmas.
