How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

We grow up hearing that the train passes only once, as do the opportunities… I am very lucky because I got on the Telefónica train for the first time in 1999 when I joined Telefónica Interactiva de Contenidos, I was lucky enough to experience the creation of the Terra portal and its flotation on the stock exchange, without a doubt a stage that I carry (like all the “Terraqueos” who are still around) with a great deal of pride.

Several years went by and I got back on board the Telefónica train with the creation of Telefónica Digital, a time when I learned a lot from magnificent colleagues. I am very happy with the team we have, I am passionate about the world of People and it gives me the opportunity to experience first-hand the transformation of Telefónica from the point of view of people.

Is there any project at Telefónica that you feel particularly satisfied with or proud of?

Every project, every stage of my life at Telefónica has left a mark that is difficult to erase, I am very fortunate.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society since its inception?

Telefónica has contributed so much! We have been contributing to society for almost 100 years, connecting people’s lives, something that all of us who are part of this family feel very proud of.

Telefónica is a key part of the immense social and technological transformation in which we are immersed.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

I see it shining, as always, as a key part of our society.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

But what kind of question is that? Of course not! I remember my first Nokia mobile phone that I got in Terra… I still have it at home, it’s my treasure!

Help us solve one of the great enigmas of humanity: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

I don’t have to think too hard about this one… with onion and my mother’s onion!

How difficult you make it for me… I nominate Mariano Martínez, another of those “Terraqueos” who, like me, is proud of where we come from and where we are going, always looking to the future, but… never forgetting the past.

In #Thespanishomelettething tag section we interview Telefónica’s employees on a variety of topics, while trying to solve one of humanity’s greatest dilemmas.
