How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

I have been linked to Telefónica for 22 years, the first 12 in a group company and the last 10 in Telefónica Móviles. Obviously, 22 years gives you time to grow both personally and professionally. The assessment is obviously very positive, although there is still room for improvement, I have been able to evolve thanks to the opportunities and challenges that the company offers.

Is there any project at Telefónica that you are particularly satisfied with or proud of?

I have collaborated in different projects and all of them have given me a lot, perhaps the Legal Interception project is one of the most interesting because of all that it entails, and that’s as far as I can read.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society since its inception?

The list of milestones that Telefónica has contributed to society would be too long to list here, perhaps that of providing us with all the modes of connection/communication since its beginnings, from those beginnings with the teleoperators to the current 5G, the connection between people is the common denominator.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

I see it as it is today, innovating, being a benchmark in communication and contributing a lot to society.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

It would be a difficult challenge, I believe that the mobile phone, if used properly, is a very powerful tool for an infinite number of things, although it is true that if I look back at my youth we didn’t have it and we were able to live without it, it would be a good challenge to try it today.

Help us to solve one of the great enigmas of humanity: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

Sacrilege!!! Of course, the omelette without onion!!!!

Nominate another colleague to appear in this section

A few months ago a campaign was launched in Telefónica to hire people with disabilities. I am very involved in this aspect as I am disabled and I know the difficulties that this sometimes entails when it comes to joining the labour market. In this campaign, a colleague of mine from the swimming team in which he competed was hired and I was especially excited because I have been watching him evolve since he was very young. That is why Jorge Martinez Nieto, was nominated!!!

In #Thespanishomelettething tag section we interview Telefónica’s employees on a variety of topics, while trying to solve one of humanity’s greatest dilemmas.
