Foro Nacional de la Confianza Digital [Digital Trust National Forum]

Recently, Spain, more specifically the SETSI (Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Society), created the Foro Nacional de la Confianza Digital with the mind that it will become a reference tool to collaboration among the most relevant private sector agents, and to assess SETSI regarding digital trust in the domestic digital market

Among its functions we can highlight collaboration in creating defence positions in diverse international forums, particularly regarding standardisation initiatives driven by the  European Commission, as well as the study and proposal of stimulus measures and incentives that favour ICT industry investments, in both the public and private sectors, and identification of priorities for financing tools and regulatory necessities.

Also included among its functions is participation in creating an outline of indicators to characterise and measure the digital trust market, and bring it to life in a proposal with recommendations on design and the use of the most appropriate indicators.

Main associations and sector players related to the digital world currently already make up a part of the Forum, for example AUI (Asociación de Usuarios de Internet) [Internet Users Association], INTECO (Instituto Nacional de Tecnologías de la Comunicación) [National Institute of Communication Technologies], the Asociación Multisectorial de Empresas de la Electrónica, las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación, las Telecomunicaciones y de los Contenidos Digitales [Association of Electronics, Information and Communications Technologies, Telecommunications and Digital Content Companies] (AMETIC), the Asociación Española de Normalización y Certificación [Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification] (AENOR), the Asociación Nacional de Empresas de Internet [National Association for Internet Companies] (ANEI) and the Grupo de Trabajo en Seguridad [Security Working Group] (GTS) among others.
