Starting today, O2 is offering 10 TB of free cloud storage through its O2 Cloud service. This increases the storage capacity previously available to Fiber and Mobile customers from 1 TB to 10 TB.
In addition, O2 is extending this service to customers with a Mobile Plan, who will have access – with no other cost – to 10 TB of secure cloud storage (equivalent to 10,000 GB) for storing photos, videos, and documents.
All customers with a mobile plan will enjoy this benefit on their mobile lines: Fiber and Mobile customers will have their storage capacity increased to 10 TB, and Mobile Plan customers will gain access to the service. In this way, O2 is enhancing the features included in its mobile and converged plans and offering users an additional tool to manage their digital content easily and securely.
The new 10 TB of cloud storage offered by O2 provides virtually unlimited storage capacity and allows its customers to save significantly on additional subscriptions. This capacity is equivalent to being able to store between 2 and 3 million photos, more than 500 hours of 4K video, or 10 million documents.
The main advantages of O2 Cloud are that it provides secure storage space where photos, videos, music, and documents are protected in a private and reliable environment. In addition, it allows you to access all your content from any device—mobile phone, tablet, or computer—to view or download it whenever you need it.
It also facilitates advanced organization by creating albums and folders, keeping all files neatly organized. In addition, O2 Cloud stores content in the cloud, which frees up space on your phone and improves its performance. It also includes automatic synchronization, so files are uploaded automatically without the user having to take any manual action.
To start using O2 Cloud, customers must download the app from the App Store or Google Play, log in by entering their phone number, and confirm access using a code sent via SMS. After accepting the permissions and terms of service, users can access the side menu to adjust synchronization settings and manage how content will be stored. Once inside, the app allows users to explore its features, create albums, and organize their content.
In October 2023, O2 launched its free cloud storage service, O2 Cloud, for the first time, with an initial capacity of 500 GB. This service became available to O2 customers with Fiber and Mobile plans, who have been able to access and manage their digital content through the new O2 Cloud app ever since.
In addition to offering the most comprehensive range of services possible, tailored to your needs and with a unique value proposition, O2 benefits from the quality of Spain’s largest fiber and mobile network: Telefónica’s.
Mariano Domecq, director of O2, notes: “More than 40% of Spaniards use cloud storage, which has become a recurring subscription service for households in this country. In this regard, at O2 we are enhancing our cloud services within a secure environment to ensure complete peace of mind for our customers. As a brand of the Telefónica Group, we continue to offer more and better services, helping to make the company the best gateway for citizens to access digital technologies.”
