How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

It’s been an incredible 15+ years at Telefónica! From the moment I joined, I have witnessed how this company not only embraces innovation and cutting-edge technology, but also fosters an environment of personal and professional growth. As an engineer, Telefónica has provided me with the perfect platform to exploit my skills in various network and technology sectors.

What I value most about my time here is the constant opportunity for learning and development. Each project challenges my limits and pushes me to find creative solutions. In addition, the work environment is truly enriching; I feel part of a diverse and talented community.

As a father and husband, I also appreciate the work-life balance that Telefónica promotes. It allows me to spend quality time with my family while continuing to grow professionally.

In short, I am proud to be part of Telefónica, it is part of my DNA and my philosophy. Every day here is an opportunity to contribute to technological progress and make a difference in the world.

Is there any project at Telefónica that you feel particularly satisfied with or proud of?

There are several projects at Telefónica that fill me with pride and satisfaction, but if I had to highlight a few, I would definitely mention the Telefónica Foundation’s volunteering, the Balcarce Ground Station Project and the fibre maritime cable in Las Toninas.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?

Without a doubt, Telefónica has left a significant legacy in society since its birth 100 years ago! Since then, it has been a fundamental pillar in communications, connecting people all over the world and facilitating the exchange of messages, ideas and emotions.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

I believe the company will continue to drive new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), thus opening new frontiers and generating exciting opportunities for new generations.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

While I deeply appreciate the ease of communication it provides and how it brings me closer to my loved ones, I also value the moments of digital disconnection. This is when I can enjoy the company of my family without distractions. Whether it’s sharing relaxed conversations with my wife over mates or watching my son play, they allow me to reconnect with what really matters in life: human relationships and shared experiences.

Help us solve one of humanity’s great enigmas: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

I have tasted the omelette my mother used to make when I was a child and I remember it with a lot of love, without onion.

What crazy idea would you like Telefónica to come up with for its centenary?

I would like Telefónica to organise a global event of cultural and educational exchange between employees from different operators around the world. During this event, selected by lottery, employees would have the opportunity to travel and spend time at other Telefónica operators in different countries, immersing themselves in their cultures and work experiences. This initiative would not only foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas between international teams, but also strengthen the sense of community within the company.

In addition, as part of the centenary celebration, Telefónica could launch a long-term project with the aim of providing free access to a unified educational platform for all schools worldwide. This platform would offer high quality educational resources, adapted to diverse cultural contexts and learning needs, thus promoting equal educational opportunities globally. With Telefónica’s expertise and technological infrastructure, this project could mark a significant milestone in the field of education and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
