How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

I joined this great family 35 years ago at the age of 19. Here I have learnt everything and I have seen the transformation/evolution of this great company, of which I feel very proud to belong.

Is there any project at Telefónica that you feel particularly satisfied with or proud of?

Having actively collaborated in the design and deployment of FTTH at national level.

Suggest an idea for the company’s Centenary in 2024

Create a museum where you can see the company’s history from its birth to the present day, making the leap to space….

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society in these almost 100 years?

Bringing people closer together by eliminating the barrier of physical distance. In its own evolution as a communications company, it has permanently connected every home, every company, every town and city with a spider’s web (today a web of light), facilitating the progress and advancement of the countries where it operates.

Where do you see Telefónica in the next 100 years?

I see Telefónica as an innovative company that will have an even greater presence in everything related to communications and technology. At the last Movistar Community event, we were invited to visit the LaCabina space and I was amazed at the innovations we are bringing to the world, I recommend you pay a visit if you haven’t already!

So I don’t see Telefónica as just a telecommunications operator, I see it as a great technology company that will bring innovation and the latest trends to both individuals and businesses.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

I was born ‘analogue’ but now I consider myself ‘digital’. The mobile phone is for me the window to the world in my hand, to information, family and friends. We have adapted to live with it and of course I could live without it as such, but I would have a very hard time.

Help us to solve one of the great enigmas of humanity: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

Potato omelette without onion is like a stew without flavour. It is always better with onion, and anyone who says otherwise has atrophied taste buds.

Nominate another colleague to appear in this section.

I nominate Monserrat Bellet Sanfeliu, José Luis Jorge Hernández and José Meseguer Barrionuevo.

In #Thespanishomelettething tag section we interview Telefónica’s employees on a variety of topics, while trying to solve one of humanity’s greatest dilemmas.
