Telefónica has been recognised in two different categories at the gala commemorating Merco’s 25th anniversary: one of the top 10 companies in history and one of the ten companies with the best communications team of the last quarter of a century.
The awards were collected by Eduardo Navarro, Chief Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Officer at Telefónica, and Ana Porto, Global Communications Director, in recognition of the corporate reputation and business leadership of the century-old operator.
The gala, held on 16 June 2025 at the Caixaforum in Madrid, served to pay tribute to those organisations and individuals who have stood out over the last two and a half decades for their contribution to business reputation.
What is Merco
Merco (Monitor Empresarial de Reputación Corporativa) is the leading corporate monitor in Latin America, evaluating the reputation of companies since 2000. It is a reputational assessment tool based on a multi-stakeholder methodology comprising six evaluations and more than twenty sources of information.
