Telefónica Mexico has participated and competed in the telecommunications market since 2001.

Throughout 2015, it has consolidated its competitive positioning by adapting its supply to the new regulatory environment and by improving the efficiency of its distribution channel. The commercial drive and the generation of economies of scale are reflected in a solid performance of revenues and in a significant improvement in profitability.

Some of the major figures at the year-end closing of 2015 are:

  • Accesses increase 13% year-on-year, reaching 26.3 million at the end of the year.
  • Revenues reached 1.783 billion Euro and the OIBDA totalled 481 million Euro.
  • In 2015 alone, 266 million Euro were invested, mainly intended for the expansion and improvement of 3G and 4G networks, as well as for the distribution channel
