Susana Mielgo
I joined Telefónica in 1999 and am currently Head of Program Management in the engineering department at Telefónica Digital Innovation.
My professional career began in the world of software development, programming databases. Over time, I discovered the universe of software management, work methodologies, and process optimization. This field captured my attention, until I decided to take the plunge and focus my career on project management. I suppose it was a natural progression, as I have always had a penchant for optimizing time, understanding the reasoning behind decisions, and finding the most efficient way to achieve objectives.
Throughout my career, I have taken on various challenges, but the role of Program Manager has undoubtedly been one of the most rewarding. It has given me the opportunity to participate in numerous strategic projects. These projects have allowed me to collaborate with high-level professionals, from whom I have learned a great deal, both technically and personally. This constant collaboration has been a continuous source of growth and motivation.

I have always been fascinated by bringing the worlds of technology and health together. Knowing that your work helps others in such important areas as health is truly rewarding. Some time later, I continued my adventure in LAN/WiFi Network Specialist Engineering, specialising mainly in WiFi projects, carrying out both theoretical and on-site coverage studies, as well as designing the associated WiFi network, collaborating and providing support to other areas, and negotiating the best technical and economic conditions with various external suppliers. I learned a lot during this time. My journey continues today, as I wanted to keep exploring and learning, so I landed in operations, in Radio Optimisation Management, specifically in Mobile Access Quality Analysis, and… it’s been amazing too.
