What role does technology play in this efficiency?
An absolutely central role. Technology allows us to automate tasks that previously required manual intervention, which translates into significant improvements in costs, response times and service quality. It is a strategic lever for offering a more competitive product that is tailored to customer expectations.
What professional profiles are usually involved in this?
Technological evolution is forcing us to rethink professional profiles. Many tasks will be automated, and it will be necessary to retrain our teams for roles with greater added value. Continuous training will be key, and at Telefónica we are already actively working on this talent transformation process.
How can the development of new technologies influence this?
In a decisive way. In our field, we must be attentive to any innovation that allows us to improve the way we operate. New technologies not only change how we do things, but also expand our capacity to imagine more ambitious and disruptive solutions.
The evolution of the Outdoor Plant in the coming years
The Outdoor Plant will be transformed into a simplified model focused on operational excellence. In terms of management, it will be completely digitised using a single tool that will enable all activity to be operated comprehensively, both by our own resources and by our partner companies. This platform will incorporate levers based on artificial intelligence to optimise processes and decisions.
With regard to inventory, it will evolve towards a more efficient model, consisting of a limited number of items, all digitally identified. This will allow for complete end-to-end traceability in both logistics processes and technical and accounting inventory, reinforcing control and operational efficiency.
