Diversity defines us, inclusion unites us

Once again, at Telefónica we are celebrating International LGBT+ Pride Day, advancing our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Our aim is to continue working on different fronts to achieve effective equality within the framework of a trustworthy space, where everyone who works in the company can feel fully safe and integrated, regardless of their orientation, sexual identity or gender expression.

In this context, to promote diversity and inclusion, at Telefónica we implement different global policies of gender equality and support for the LGBT+ community through different local initiatives, many of which are articulated in collaboration with other organisations that are highly representative of the group.

Because diversity defines us, inclusion unites us and also multiplies professional development and innovation within the organisation, boosting our results.

These are some of our global milestones in LGBT+ diversity

  • In Germany, we have developed different training and communication actions, as well as the creation of support networks for diversity issues. Telefónica Germany is an integral member of the company’s Diversity Manifesto, and is part of the Prout at Work group, which is dedicated to ensuring better inclusion of the group in the company since 2024.
  • In Brazil, Vivo has carried out different actions throughout the country in favour of equality and inclusion: training workshops, theatre marathons and initiatives with other LGBTI companies and managers to promote spaces for dialogue and transformation.
  • Telefónica Spain has carried out an exhaustive study together with REDI (Business Network for LGBTI Diversity and Inclusion) to learn first-hand about the main achievements in LGBTI diversity and the challenges for the future.
