Álvaro Echevarría Arévalo

Born in Barcelona, Spain, in September 1973.
Mr. Álvaro Echevarría Arévalo joined Telefónica in April 2025 and became a member of the Group Executive Committee. He is currently responsible for the Office of the Chairman and CEO, as well as for the global public affairs strategy. He also serves as Member of the Board of Trustees of the Fundación Telefónica.
He brings a solid background in the financial services sector, having held various leadership positions at Banco Sabadell from 2002 onwards, most recently as Deputy General Manager overseeing the areas of Institutional Relations and Corporate Security.
Prior to Banco Sabadell, he held positions at Retevision (Grupo Auna) and EY.
He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Fundación Empresas at IQS Barcelona and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Círculo Ecuestre.
Mr. Álvaro Echevarría Arévalo holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from IQS Barcelona, an Executive MBA from ESADE, and has completed the General Management Program (PDG) at IESE Business School, University of Navarra.
