Santiago Argelich Hesse

Industrial Engineer from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), with a postgraduate degree in International Marketing Strategy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Since January 1^st, 2026, he is Chief Executive Officer of Telefónica Germany and a member of the Group Executive Committee.

Santiago brings a solid track record with over 20 years international experience in the Telco and Digital sectors. Since 2018, he has worked for Cellnex Telecom where he played a key role in Cellnex’s expansion across Europe, leading strategic initiatives and mergers in more than a dozen countries, including Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, and the UK. In Poland he served as CEO and President of Cellnex Poland since 2021.

Prior to his tenure at Cellnex, Santiago held key leadership positions at Veon and Oliver Wyman, where he was a Senior Partner specializing in strategy and transformation for major telecom operators.
