DIGITAL INCLUSION

Telefónica helps to bridge the digital divide by investing in infrastructure and services for people on low incomes or with disabilities and by providing training in ICTs.

Here in Telefónica we believe that the main way we can help reduce the digital divide is by doing our job as well as possible. Efficiency, effectiveness, innovation and investment in developing networks are what will ultimately bring more services to more places at better prices.

In addition, we are continuing to work with many areas of government and other bodies on projects to promote digital inclusion. In this chapter, we detail some of our activities in this area during 2008.
