  • EducaRed: In addition to the 32,288,782 unique visitors to EducaRed's eight portals, during 2008 there were an additional 38,460 people who participated in 125 courses, as well as 187,393 participants in other projects (informative exhibitions, associated events or educational projects and readers of EducaRed publications). During the year, EducaRed registered over 61.1 million visits, with over 280 million page views.
  • Proniño: As of 31 December 2008, Proniño was benefiting a total of 127,655 people: 107,602 children and adolescents; 11,842 teachers and educators trained in more than 672 workshops, 1,710 teachers at the "Aulas Telefónica" ("Telefónica Classrooms"), and 6,501 social agents trained in 222 training courses. Implemented in 13 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Venezuela and Uruguay), its trajectory is even more remarkable when one considers that in 2005, it reached 11,540 people. Proniño's target is an annual increase of 25% in the number of children who are progressively withdrawn from child labour. For 2009, the goal is to provide 120,000 minors with the benefit of comprehensive welfare.
  • Telefónica Volunteers: Last year, the programme's number of beneficiaries exceeded 246,000, most of whom were children, young people or adults with scant economic resources or at risk of social exclusion, primary and secondary school students, elderly persons and ill or disabled persons, not to mention persons afflicted by natural disasters. 21,807 volunteers dedicated 341,109 working and voluntary hours.
  • Debate and Knowledge: 766,065 people participated in the initiatives developed by the Fundación Telefónica through this programme, which was conceived as a standard-bearing organisation for creating, debating and providing information in the development and stimulation of the Information Society. In 2008, it organised 27 informative events; it published 14 titles through Colección Fundación Telefónica / Ariel; and it promoted and carried out 7 large-scale research projects.
  • Art and Technology: more than 4.1 million internet users visited the Fundación Telefónica’s arts and culture websites and portals. An additional 563,607 people visited the 31 art exhibitions organised by the foundation, plus visitors of works that received VIDA awards and of the initiatives developed in the foundation's cultural activities.
