Human Rights Governance: Privacy and Freedom of Expression

In the digital world is witnessing a significant shift in the respect and promotion of human rights, with a particular focus on privacy and freedom of expression, driven by the use of new technologies, Artificial Intelligence and the prominence of data on a global scale. For this reason, we have established a management model of clear responsibilities in the protection of human rights in general and privacy and freedom of expression in more specifically.

To ensure the protection and advancement of human rights, we have established a management model of clear responsibilities for the protection of human rights in general and privacy and freedom of expression in particular.

In relation to the Transparency in Communications Report, we have a Transparency Committee with the aim to ensure the continuous quality of the information, and compliance with current regulations and the protection of people’s fundamental rights. It is made up of the heads of the global areas of General Secretariat, Compliance, Internal Audit and Sustainability. This Committee analyses the data reported on the requests made by the competent authorities and makes the appropriate observations, either generally or specifically in relation to the information provided by the operators.
