In the digital world is witnessing a significant shift in the respect and promotion of human rights, with a particular focus on privacy and freedom of expression, driven by the use of new technologies, Artificial Intelligence and the prominence of data on a global scale. For this reason, we have established a management model of clear responsibilities in the protection of human rights in general and privacy and freedom of expression in more specifically.
To promote respect for human rights throughout the value chain, it is essential to have the support of the highest levels of the company. Therefore, the Board of Directors is ultimately responsible.
This body oversees approving the Global Human Rights Policy and the Sustainability Plan, which sets out the strategic objectives for sustainability, and it also includes topics such as privacy and freedom of expression. For its part, the Sustainability and Regulatory Committee ensures compliance with the human rights objectives outlined in this plan.
