Session description

Major challenges require joint responses. For this reason, Telefónica and UNICEF are organizing this session to address one of today’s greatest challenges: the participation and protection of children in the digital environment.

This panel brings together experts from different fields with the aim of analyzing the current context, sharing the main challenges, and reflecting on recommendations and opportunities that can help move toward a safer digital environment for children and adolescents.

The discussion will be supported by key data and conclusions from the recent report “Digital Childhood”, a pioneering global research project that involved the collaboration of 45 national and international experts, as well as the participation of families, teachers, and nearly 100,000 children and adolescents in Spain.

In addition, Telefónica will share some of the initiatives it is promoting across different regions to encourage the responsible, safe, and positive use of technology among children and adolescents.
