The reality is that nobody knows how important the Metaverse will be 30 years from now. What we do know is that the Metaverse proposes a new, more human way of relating to each other. Digital experiences available to us are becoming more diverse, more human and more immersive thanks to XR technology.
Telefónica’s strategy covers to have our networks ready for this evolution, as well as the XR devices and the experiences that our customers will enjoy. However, we must begin looking at the challenges we are facing in minimizing the digital gap and ensuring the digital well-being of users. At the same time, as digitalization advances, so does the economy, with a decentralized digital economy and new business models appearing through the web3 and tokenomics.
