Mobile network sharing: A new development model for Latin America

Session description

Telefónica and Millicom announced the sharing of their mobile access networks through the creation of a NetCo, in order to make their investments more efficient, deploy more infrastructure and benefit their users. This agreement is a model that Telefónica Hispanoamérica intends to extend to the rest of the region, as in the case of Internet para Todos.

The session will explore the challenges of structuring such agreements and the potential for efficiency and additional coverage they can offer to bridge the digital divide in the region.
