Dialogue with Stakeholders

In the CR 2.0 strategy proposed by Telefónica, dialogue with interest groups is seen as an increasingly important potential tool for growth. This dialogue is key to working to ensure that initiatives remain in line with the expectations of different stakeholders.

The aim is to evolve from a multi-stakeholder strategy to a single-stakeholder strategy, which would allow us to develop more closely in line with their interests and with the most relevant aspects that would help to adjust the focus of the Telefónica Group's CR strategy.

In 2008, new experiences such as surveys, debates and online forums were added to the traditional discussion panels on the CR Report.

Looking forward to 2009, Telefónica will strengthen its method of dialogue through different lines of activity: redefinition of the process of identifying interest group representatives, development of local plans and selection of tools for consolidating the process. All of this will be carried out using the ongoing & two way process strategy as a basis, which involves promoting continuity of dialogue with the groups throughout the financial year (ongoing) and transferring business conclusions in a more effective manner (two-way process).
