CSR Report Assurance

Verification of the Reports provides credibility, rigor and transparency, making them a key tool for ascertaining the gaps in management policies and systems.

For the fourth year in a row, we have asked Ernst and Young to verify our Corporate Social Reponsibility report, based on AA1000 standards (according to the principles of materiality, completeness, and responsiveness) and GRI G3. We have also asked Ernst and Young to verify each and every statement made in our CSR report.

For verifications performed:

• CSR information published by Telefónica in Spain and Latin America has been reviewed by Ernst&Young, headquartered in Madrid, financial auditors of the Company. They have spend more than 3,600 hours reviewing the traceability of the information and holding interviews with our directors.


• The content published, which makes reference to Telefónica Europe, was audited by Ernst&Young United Kingdom, as part of the auditing of the CSR Reports of the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland and the Czech Republic.
