By means of its commitment to culture through its opera sponsorship, Telefónica aims to promote, conserve and spread interest in Spanish opera. A fundamental part of achieving this objective is support for three cultural institutions: the Teatro Real theatre in Madrid, the Liceu opera house in Barcelona and the Palau de Les Arts in Valencia.
Telefónica is working with the Isaac Albéniz Foundation to sponsor a classroom in its new premises in Madrid and with the Reina Sofia Higher Music School by sponsoring the Telefónica Violin Professor.
The Reina Sofia Higher Music School is dedicated to training excellent performers and offers its students the resources they need to achieve the highest levels of musical specialisation.
