Matthew Key

CEO of Telefónica Digital.

Matthew Key was named Chairman and CEO of Telefonica O2 Europe in November 2007, post he held until September 2011 when he is appointed top executive of Telefonica Digital operating unit.

Matthew had been appointed to the Executive Committee of O2 UK in March 2005. He joined the company as Chief Financial Officer in February 2002, with responsibility for strategy, business development, regulatory functions and the establishment of the Tesco Mobile joint venture. Before joining O2, Matthew worked with Vodafone as UK Operations Finance Director for four years. Prior to this, he held various financial positions with Kingfisher, Coca-Cola, Schweppes and Grand Metropolitan.

Following Telefónica's acquisition of O2, Mr. Key joined the Board of O2, as an Executive Director.
